bye bye ego!

Read this article. "Eckhart Tolle: What to do when you don't know what to do"

I just had a conversation about this with a friend. That voice in my head is so over dramatic about situations! Do you hear that voice? They say that first voice is you worrying, not being in the now. It is so negative; like in the article it says instead of "I might lose my job" its "I might lose my job than I'll lose my house and have to take my kids out of school. I'll have to move back in with my parents, I'll never find a new job in time, I'm not good enough!" Technically you didn't even lose the job yet and you are driving yourself crazy with worry!
Your in a 7 year relationship and you always have petty arguments, you start thinking "Well, maybe I should end it?" but thats the voice picking at every negative thing that there could possibly be. Of course some relationships end and thats fine. You can always make a list, look at both sides, base your decision of that; but when the list are pretty equal or one side doesn't out weigh the other its hard to chose. You need to look at it and as the voice is going say "Whats the problem?" or sometimes I just say "Ego" because thats what it really is and just recognizing the voice is there helps you stop thinking so much. Than you can be in the now and realize there isn't really a problem or if there is you can really start working on it.
The article explains it so much better! check it out!!!
